My Work

As part of a dedicated research team, I had the privilege of identifying antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in bovine Mycoplasma for the first time in Australia, confirming the genetic mutations responsible through genome sequencing of resistant isolates. Our achievements have led to invitations to publish in esteemed journal special issues dedicated to antimicrobial resistance and earned recognition from Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) for raising awareness about AMR in food animals and its implications for vaccine development.Currently, my work focuses on deepening the understanding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Mycoplasma species and contributing to the development of a comprehensive bio-bank research system. This system is designed to archive isolates for future vaccine development and preserve sequencing data as vital research resources, with the goal of improving animal health, protecting the environment, and fostering scientific innovation.

  • Collaborate with MOBSA for Bio-risk Management: Launch International Network in 2025 Moroccan Biosafety Association (MOBSA) Bio-risk Management International Network in the Southern Hemisphere (BMIN-SH).
